I’m going home for the holidays and I couldn’t be more excited. Even though this will be the first Christmas my Grandma won’t be there to celebrate with, I still have so much to look forward to. My nieces are off school so I get to play the cool uncle who lets them do everything their parents won’t. My cousins and I will more than likely get together and do things we may or may not regret the next morning (Shout outs to SFSU dorm rooms) and I get to spend time with my sister, who despite being over 3000 miles away, is one of the biggest supporters/insiprations in my life. The semester is almost over and I’ve emerged relatively unscathed. The workload was almost overwhelming but I found that balance. The blessed trifecta of student life: Work, School, Social Life. I came into this program looking to polish skills in not only writing, but also photography, and my oddly enough; my ability to approach almost anyone in any random situation. As a journalist this skill is mandatory. Thankfully, I’ve never been shy in that regard. Read more
